Terms of Use

Draft. This document is awaiting review by a legal advisor and may change. Last updated 28 October 2026.

These terms apply when you use homeimprovementhub.co.za. By using the website, you agree to them. Please read them, in particular the sections on our role and the limits of our liability.

What Home Improvement Hub does

Home Improvement Hub is an introduction service. When you request quotes, we pass your request to up to 3 independent service providers, who contact you directly. The service is powered by Quickleads.

We are not the contractor. We don't carry out, supervise or guarantee any work, and the service providers are not our employees or agents.

Quotes and contracts

  • Each service provider quotes independently. We don't set or control their prices, availability or terms.
  • If you accept a quote, your contract is directly between you and the service provider. Home Improvement Hub is not a party to it.
  • You aren't obliged to accept any quote.
  • Any dispute about the work, price, timing or guarantees is between you and the provider.

Checking service providers

Before you appoint a provider, check that they're suitable for your job: ask for references and examples of past work, and confirm any registration or certificate the law requires for the trade, such as an electrical certificate of compliance. Each service page includes a checklist to help.

Information on this website

Guides, checklists, price ranges and other information on the website are general information to help you plan. They aren't professional, legal or engineering advice, and price ranges are estimates only. Get quotes and professional advice for your specific job.

Using the website

  • Give accurate information when you request quotes or apply to join as a provider.
  • Don't submit requests on someone else's behalf without their permission.
  • Don't use the website for anything unlawful, or try to interfere with how it works.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, Home Improvement Hub is not liable for any loss or damage arising from work carried out, quoted or not carried out by a service provider, or from your use of information on the website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

The website's content, design and branding belong to Home Improvement Hub or its licensors. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use only.

Where we link to other websites, such as sources for regulations, we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.
